About Us

Our Story

Firehouse Tumbling opened for business in June 2016 in Topsham, ME. Our tumbling gym is located in a 1960s Navy firehouse that we restored. In an effort to honor those that came before us and served the community, we decided there was no better name than Firehouse Tumbling.

Our Offerings

Our classes include Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Team Tumbles/High School Tumble, Semi-Private and Private Lessons as well as Open Tumble. Each of our classes, excluding Open Tumble, run in 10-week sessions. Open Tumble is run every Monday and Tuesday (excluding holidays) from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm on a drop-in basis. The cost is $10 for Members and $15 for non-members. Open Tumble is run just as a regular class with full instruction, but is based on convenience not skill level.

All classes are led by Shawn Provencher, who is a well-known tumbling coach with over 15 years of experience.

Open Tumbles- Offered on Monday and Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. for a drop in cost of only $10 for members or $15 for non-members. Open tumble sessions are held just like our normal classes with an instructor, but do not have age or skill level requirements. There is also not a participant maximum as with regular weekly classes.

Team Tumbles- Scheduled at the beginning of each 10-week session, these classes require a minimum of 10 participants to secure the spot. The fee is $100 per child plus our annual membership fee paid up front. Team Tumbles provide the opportunity to grow and bond as a team while the gym and instructor is totally yours. They also are 90-minute sessions, so you not only receive a savings of $30 over the 10 weeks, but you also get an extra 30 minutes per week for your team! We also offer a High School Tumble during the off-season.

Winter Competitive (Recreation) Cheering Program- This cheer program is offered for K through 8th grade. The program is a member of the MYCCA and competes only in Maine. Program costs will include uniforms, sneakers, bow, and competition registration fees. Teams will be based on age and will follow all MYCCA stunting guidelines. Coaching staff will be certified with the AACCA. This program will run from November through mid-March. Please visit the cheer page for additional information.
